Ubotica Technologies raises 4 million euros
For its objective of providing decision-making capacity to satellites in orbit.
The Irish company Ubotica Technologies with offices in Spain and the Netherlands, a leading supplier of smart satellite systems, has closed a financing round of 4 million euros with a global syndicate led by Atlantic Bridge and that includes the joint venture of Dolby Family Ventures, based in the United States, and the world's leading investor in the space sector, Seraphim Space.
Ubotica™ has developed the in-orbit processing system CogniSat™, in whose development the VISILAB group of the University of Castilla-La Mancha has collaborated, has been tested in space flights with partners from Europe and the US, including the NASA JPL on the International Space Station or the European Space Agency (ESA) in the Φ-Sat-1.
The Spanish headquarters of Ubotica Technologies, located in the business incubator from the University of Castilla-La Mancha in Ciudad Real, currently has a team made up of 15 people with experience in computer vision and development for embedded hardware systems, several of whom are students who graduated from the Escuela Superior de Informática de Ciudad Real. Real, also including associate professors who teach in it.
