Classrooms and Laboratories

Infrastructure


The teaching infrastructure and infrastructure for use by the students of the Higher School of Informatics is distributed in several campus Buildings, mainly the Fermín Caballero building and the Polytechnic. Other spaces such as the Library, student management units or sports facilities are distributed throughout the Campus.

The building Fermin Knight It is the headquarters of the Higher School of Informatics, with two annex modules A y B. These units contain teaching spaces (classrooms, laboratories and meeting rooms and multipurpose rooms), teachers' offices and administration, management and management units. On the ground floor of this building you will find the Directorate and Secretary of the ESI and the Directorate and Secretary of the Department of Information Technologies and Systems. In addition, this floor houses a large-capacity assembly hall, a graduation hall, a classroom and the work commission room. Anita Borg. On the second floor, in addition to classrooms and laboratories, you can find the Technical Unit. The staff of the School's Technical Unit is responsible, among other things, for the maintenance and proper functioning of the laboratories. The teachers' offices are distributed between the second and third floors, as well as on the second floor of Annex A. In module B there are 4 classrooms for teaching activities.

The building Polytechnic It was inaugurated in 2005 and consists of four floors. In 2010, a new building was opened, annexed to the main building, destined exclusively for classrooms, consisting of two floors, with 7 classrooms per floor.

Since the 2022/2023 academic year, classrooms and teaching laboratories, as well as other spaces, have been named after a relevant figure in the history of Computer Science.
