The new logomark created in July 2021 arises to generate a boost in the promotion of our studies and to improve the external perception of the Escuela Superior de Informática de Ciudad Real. Maintaining the general forms so that the usual ESI logo continues to be recognised, the new design is now more up-to-date, dynamic and modern than before, with improved proportions.
Next, we make available to the community of the Escuela Superior de Informática the resources related to the digital identity of the ESI. These resources must be used in all the material and activities related to the ESI together with those established by the UCLM in its Corporate Visual Identity Manual.
The ESI mascot, called computer lynx, is a nice lynx. This feline has strong legs, a short tail and mottled fur.
The Iberian lynx, endemic to our peninsula, has been in serious danger of extinction since the beginning of the century, although the population has been able to recover recently. The Castilla-La Mancha region is home to a third of the specimens of this species.
Computer Lynx acts as a second brand of the Escuela Superior de Informática in terms of promoting its titles, as a gesture of concern for the environment and nature, expressing attachment and commitment to our region, for representing outstanding characteristics such as the cunning, agility, speed, resistance y teamwork, and by the connection of this word with the Computer Technology and its originslynx is the name of an operating system from the 80s and is also a word similar to Linux, the kernel of GNU Linux”).
