Javier Corral, recent graduate from the Higher School of Informatics in the University of Castilla-La Mancha will participate as a speaker at the prestigious cybersecurity event RootedCon, which is considered the largest cybersecurity event in Spain, and will be held in Madrid from March 7 to 9, 2024. Its importance lies in being a meeting space for computer security professionals, where knowledge and experiences about the latest threats and trends in the sector.

This year, RootedCon will focus on cybersecurity on the web3 and the metaverse, topics of great relevance to the future of the internet. In addition to presentations by international experts, the event will also feature workshops, trainings and networking activities to encourage collaboration among attendees.

Javier Corral, member of the Spanish cybersecurity team, will participate as a speaker with a conference titled Hackerone AWC – World Champions, in which he will recount his experience after win the international championship Ambassador World Cup 2023, hosted by HackerOne. By many, this event is considered the “world of ethical hackers”, which brings together the best experts from 29 teams from 22 countries. The Spanish team, made up of 10 highly qualified professionals, defeated the Israeli team in a close final. During the competition, participants faced different challenges, such as detecting vulnerabilities in the platforms of companies such as Yahoo, OpenSea or Tinder.
