On November 28, the Spanish Association of the Semiconductor Industry (AESEMI) in collaboration with Getafe Initiatives, SA (GISA) and the Cluster of Technological Innovation and Talent (CITT) in semiconductors, will celebrate the I National Congress of the Semiconductor Industry. The event will be held at the Federico García Lorca Theater in Getafe and aspires to be the nucleus of exchange and advancement for the semiconductor ecosystem nationwide. With an eye toward strengthening and expanding the sector, the congress will bring together eminent figures from academia and business to discuss current challenges and trends.

One of the participations will be that of Juan Carlos López, Professor of the Higher School of Informatics at the University of Castilla-La Mancha and director of the ARCO research group. Juan Carlos will share his expert vision in the round table “Challenges of existing aid in Spain and the EU“, scheduled from 10:20 to 11:05. This debate comes at a time when the industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, driven by initiatives such as the CHIPS ACT and the LOSE CHIP, which represent public investment and subsidies that exceed 70.000 million euros. The meeting of leaders and experts in a single forum promises to be a catalyst for the exploration of synergies and joint development in a sector that is, without a doubt, one of the pillars of current technological innovation.
