Antonio Vallecillo godfather of the next graduation

Antonio Vallecillo will be the next godfather of the XII and XI graduate and master's degrees in Computer Engineering. Antonio is a professor of computer languages ​​and systems, and professor of subjects related to Software Engineering at the University of Malaga and vice president of the Spanish Computer Society (SCIE). His research interests include model-based software engineering (MBSE), open distributed processing (ODP), and software quality. Between 1986 and 1995, he worked in the computer industry for Fujitsu and ICL. In 1996, he joined the University of Malaga, where he currently leads the ATHENA group and conducts research on software modeling and analysis. 

He is involved in various standardization activities within AENOR, ISO, ITU-T and OMG, and has been the Spanish representative in IFIP TC2 and ISO SC7, being co-editor of ISO/IEC 19793 (UML4ODP) and the revised version of RM- ODP (ISO/IEC 10746-2/3). Currently, he is a certified technical expert in ENAC (National Accreditation Body) and advisor to the Australian Research Council (ARC). 

He has organized several international conferences, including ECOOP 2002, TOOLS 2010, MODELS 2013, ECOOP 2017 and CEDI 20/211. He has been vice-rector for postgraduate and doctoral studies at the University of Malaga (2012-2016), and president of the Spanish Society of Software Engineering (SISTEDES) (2014-2018). Since 2020, he is the vice president of the Spanish Computer Science Society (SCIE). He is also a Senior Fellow of the ACM, an AAIA Fellow, and a Fellow of the European Academy.
