III Turing Machine Awards

The third edition of the Awards Turing machine to the best TFE presented in the 2022/2023 academic year in the degrees of Degree in Computer Engineering y Master in Computer Engineering taught at the Higher School of Informatics of the UCLM. This joint call aims to promote and recognize the realization of quality TFE, which solve problems of interest to society and produce relevant advances in the field of knowledge addressed, as well as facilitate the participation and attendance of candidates in a single assessment process.

Participant Requirements

All those who meet the following requirements may participate in this call:

  1. ESI students who have completed their Bachelor's or Master's studies during the 2022/2023 academic year and who, therefore, have defended their Final Degree Project (TFG) or Final Master's Project (TFG) in any of the calls of the aforementioned academic course.
  2. The qualification of said work must have been at least remarkable with a numerical qualification of eight (8)
  3. Not be involved in any of the prohibitions to obtain the status of beneficiary contained in art. 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. The beneficiary must be aware of their legal, tax and Social Security obligations.

Form and deadline for submitting applications

1. The presentation of candidatures will comply with the provisions of administrative law, in accordance with the model that appears as Annex I and will be addressed to the Secretary of the UCLM Higher School of Informatics.

2. Candidacies will be presented in the general registry of the UCLM, in the Campus records of Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Toledo and the headquarters of Almadén and Talavera de la Reina, or by any other means included in Law 39. /2015, of October 1 of the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, including the electronic registry of the UCLM.

2. The deadline for submitting applications will remain open from the day of publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha and until 14:00 p.m. from October 13, 2023.

3. In addition, within the same period, the candidate must send an email addressed to the email esi@uclm.es with the subject "TFE Turing Machine Awards 2022/23" the following files:

  • A copy of the TFE report in PDF format.
  • Copy of the DNI, passport or NIE.
  • Audiovisual presentation used in the defense of work in the ESI.
  • A video of no more than 5 minutes that summarizes the objectives of the work and highlights the results achieved and the strengths that make it worthy of the award.
  • Optionally, the candidate may attach to this email any other documentation that they consider may be of interest for a better assessment of the quality of the work by the Jury.
  • For awards whose code is ESI (see fourth base), the completed and signed copyright authorization will also be presented, in the format of Annex II “Assignment of content rights to the University of Castilla-La Mancha”.

4. The organization may reject any proposal that does not strictly comply with what is established in the bases.

5. Communications related to this call will be made exclusively through the email account provided by the participant.

Obligations of the winners

1. The submission of the application implies acceptance of all points of this call by the applicant. For aspects not expressly contemplated in it, any other regulations that may be appropriate for this matter will apply.

2. The authors of the awarded works authorize the UCLM to publish and disseminate their name and surname in different ways.

3. For the P5.1 and P5.2 prize, the winner will be obliged to deliver a demonstrator ready for installation and use for promotional purposes.

4. Failure to comply with the rules of the call, as well as the concealment of data, its alteration or manipulation, may be cause for rejection and, where appropriate, refund of the amounts received as a prize.

Santa Tecla Awards 2023

The Higher School of Informatics of the University of Castilla-La Mancha organizes several tournaments every year within cultural and academic activities on the occasion of the festival of its patron saint, Santa Tecla, in which the winners are awarded.

The application submission period will remain open until 14 p.m. from November 15, 2023.
