Five ESI teachers in the CSIC 2023 ranking
Increases the presence of the Ciudad Real School of Informatics in the prestigious CSIC ranking of women researchers.
Ciudad Real, July 13, 2023 – The Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) has published the second edition of the Ranking of Spanish and foreign researchers working in Spain, based on data provided by Google Scholar. In this edition, five professors from the Escuela Superior de Informática de Ciudad Real, belonging to the University of Castilla-La Mancha, have been included, thus reaffirming the presence and contribution of the School in high-level scientific and technological research.
The outstanding professors are Coral Calero (position 860), Marcela Genero (position 1214), Aurora Vizcaíno (position 3652), Ana Isabel Molina (position 6999) and Mari Ángeles Moraga (position 7341), all of them contributing to the prestige of the institution and to the advancement of knowledge in the field of informatics.
The ranking, which includes the 8107 researchers with the highest h-index (18 or higher) and secondarily by number of citations, seeks to increase the visibility of researchers in Spain. It should be noted that the presence of the Escuela Superior de Informática de Ciudad Real in this ranking has grown from three teachers in 2022 to five in 2023.
In addition, at the level of the entire University of Castilla-La Mancha, there has been a considerable increase in the number of professors included in this ranking, going from 42 in 2022 to 95 in 2023. This data reaffirms the University's commitment to gender equality policies and the relevance of their research work.
