Mario Piattini receives the National Computer Engineering Award
Professor Mario Piattini, from the Higher School of Informatics and UCLM, receives the award as an outstanding professional in the first edition of the National Computer Engineering Awards, organized by the General Council of Professional Colleges of Computer Engineering in Spain (CCII). The delivery ceremony took place on Thursday, March 16 at the headquarters of the Royal Academy of Engineering in Madrid.
The objective of these awards is to promote the prestige of computer engineering at a time when technology has become a basic infrastructure in the digital society. In total, nine people, companies or institutions that contribute to different areas of society from computer engineering were recognized.
The CCII emphasized the importance of the ICT sector in the social and economic sphere in recent years, as well as its relevance in the future. The various award-winners reflect advances in various areas, all of them related to computing, and contribute to fostering the prestige of the profession.
