Persuasion, two faces facing each other, mentally connected

Lecture March 15, Juan José Escribano

Summary

Juan Jose Escribano Otero

That more and more computer engineers are needed, both in Spain and in Europe and in the rest of the world, no one disputes it. So if you study and pass computer engineering you will have a secure job because your degree will tell everyone that you have the knowledge and skills that the industry demands. It may be... at least, few people will dispute it. But that you are one or one of those chosen to carry out your project, your lifestyle, that you achieve everything that success means to you, that is not so easy to ensure. To achieve this, you will have to convince others of many more things. You will have to persuade them of the need for your project, of the opportunity of hiring you, of how important it is to give yourself the necessary resources to carry it out. You must stand out from the multiple and global “other options” that your environment will find at the click of a button. To achieve this, you must master your ability to present your project in public. This session aims to give you some simple keys to achieve it without distracting you in the way of studying engineering; small adjustments at the beginning to achieve great results at the end of your studies and throughout your professional career. Motivation, ease of use, management of silence and a sense of humor will be the wickers. Persuasion will be the result.
