Quantum Software Programming COURSE

After the success of the first edition, professors from the Faculty of CC.SS. of Talavera de la Reina and the ES Informática of Ciudad Real de la University of Castilla-La Mancha organize the second edition of the Quantum Software Programming Course. The course, which will take place totally online, will take place between the months of April and October 2023, with a total load of 14 ECTS.

The course, in which he collaborates aQuantum proposes to give a global vision of quantum software programming starting with the physical and mathematical foundations of quantum computing, presenting the different types of quantum systems, as well as the main environments, platforms, languages ​​and tools used to develop quantum software, including the platform access QuantumPath ®.

In addition, the main quantum algorithms will be studied, both for gate-based systems and quantum annealing systems.

Quantum computing
Quantum computing is a branch of computer science that relies on quantum mechanics to process and store information. Unlike classical computing, which uses binary bits to represent information, quantum computing uses qubits, which can be in multiple quantum states at the same time.

It is considered an emerging technology with great potential to transform computing and many other fields, including science, medicine, and security. Quantum computers are expected to have a significant impact on solving problems that are too complex for classical computers, and allow calculations that were previously impossible. In addition, quantum cryptography is also expected to improve information security and privacy online.
