11F – The story of Roya Mahboob

We want to tell you the story of Roya Mahboob. We are approaching February 11, the day of women and girls in science, a special day for the ESI that promotes and promotes the training of women in Computer Engineering for the creation of a more equitable and diverse future for all.

royal mahboob is an Afghan entrepreneur and digital activist fighting for gender equality and digital inclusion in her country. Born and raised in Herat, a city in western Afghanistan, Mahboob grew up in an environment where women were considered inferior and lacked access to education and information technology. But that didn't stop Roya from pursuing her.

After graduating in computer's science, Mahboob founded a tech company called Afghan Citadel, which provides technology training and employment to young Afghan women. Through her work, Mahboob has helped thousands of women access employment opportunities and improve their technology skills. Because of her digital literacy project, Mahboob is receiving death threats.

Mahboob is a leader and passionate advocate for gender equality and digital inclusion, and has received international recognition for her work. her story is an example of courage and demonstration on how new technologies can be a powerful tool to achieve a positive impact in the world and advocate for gender equality.

On February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated, an opportunity to recognize the importance of role of women in the advancement of science and technology. We have chosen the story of Roya Mahboob because it is an inspiring example of how women can overcome gender and cultural barriers to achieve their dreams and make a positive difference in their communities.
