SOFTWARE QUALITY, far beyond programming

As an Information Technology professional that I have been for more than forty years, year after year I observe with some sadness many young people who are studying Computer Engineering or related studies thinking that their only way out is programming applications or websites. That is why in this talk I want to share my experience in all these years working in Information Technology without programming tasks and working on projects such as the Beijing Olympics or the implementation of online gaming systems. The “spell” that developing code has is very powerful, but the profession goes much further. Check that the software is well built, that it works correctly, that this versioning in its last modification or, simply, that it is sure are exciting activities that you will also have to face.
