Alicia Troncoso Godmother of Graduation 2022
Alicia Troncoso will be the godmother of the next class of Computer Engineers to be held on October 27 at the Luis Arroyo Auditorium of the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
Alicia is president of the Spanish Association for Artificial Intelligence and Professor of Computer Languages and Systems at the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville. In her career, she has held important management positions, such as Vice-Rector for Information Technology and Digital Innovation from 2009 to 2020. Her doctorate received the Endesa Foundation award for the best research work of Andalusian universities. Her postdoctoral training has been completed in the United States, specifically at Columbia University in New York, the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of California at San Diego. She is currently the director of the Official Master's Degree in Computer Engineering at Pablo de Olavide University and leads the Data Science and Big Data Research Lab at that university. She is the author of more than a hundred articles in scientific journals and conferences of international impact, has directed seven doctoral theses and has led numerous research projects and R&D contracts on the subject of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.
