Furious Koalas Young Company of the Year
The Spin-off Furius Koalas, from the Escuela Superior de Informática and the University of Castilla-La Mancha, to which two ESI professors belong: David Vallejo Fernandez y Carlos Gonzalez Morcillo, has been awarded as young company of the year in the 'Impulse to Telecommunications Awards'.
The prize was awarded for "the very important work carried out in our region in the field of research in strategic areas for the telecommunications sector", as indicated by the Castilian-Manchega Association of Technical Engineers of Information and Communication Technologies. Communication (ITACA) and the Demarcation of the Official Association of Telecommunications Technical Engineers in Castilla-La Mancha, from where this recognition is granted, which is part of the 'Impulse to Telecommunications Awards'. The Itaca association and the Demarcation of the Official Association of Technical Telecommunications Engineers in Castilla-La Mancha have awarded the 'Young Company of the Year' Award to the spin off (derivative company) of the UCLM furious koalas for his work in the region in the field of telecommunications "in areas as strategic as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality", indicate the organizers of the award.

Among its most outstanding projects is the first 5G pilot project, which will be carried out in Castilla-La Mancha, launched through RED.ES, integrated into the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and encompassed within the call for “Red Pilot Projects 5G”, and the Cojali Challenge project, winner of the Open Innovation CLM, both in the field of mixed reality.
