A checklist for the evaluation of software process line approaches

Our mates Felix garcia y Mario Piattini of the research group alarcos, together with Dr. Halimeh Agh, have published the article: “A checklist for the evaluation of software process line approaches” in the magazine Information and Software Technology from the IEEE Computer Society.

This paper proposes a checklist that can be used to evaluate the SPrL (Software Process Lines), which was developed based on a literature review focused on the analysis of 39 primary studies, and which was applied to two research approaches. SPrL as proof of concept. This checklist can be used by organizations to compare SPrLs and then select the most appropriate SPrL approach; In addition, it can be used by researchers to propose new SPrL approaches that consider important aspects for the management of variability throughout the SPrL life cycle.
