First meeting of the working groups of the Cost Goodbrother action

ESI, ARCO group and Technical University of Vienna

Meeting held jointly between the Higher School of Computer Science with the ARCO research group (University of Castilla-La Mancha) and the Technical University of Vienna.  

Goodbrother's goal is to raise awareness of the ethical, legal and privacy issues associated with audio and video-based monitoring and to propose privacy-sensitive working solutions for assisted living, creating an interdisciplinary community of researchers and partners. industrialists from different fields (informatics, engineering, health, law, sociology) and other interested parties (users, policy makers, public services), stimulating new research and innovations. Goodbrother will counter the “Big Brother” feel of continuous surveillance by increasing user acceptance, exploiting these new solutions and improving market reach.
