Head of the Systems Projects and Database Management Area

(Indefinite contract)

GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

Reporting directly to the Head of the Department, they must carry out a periodic diagnosis of the needs of the Information and Communication Systems in the Section, propose and implement beneficial solutions, always prioritizing technologies that allow greater agility and flexibility for the organization, promoting the autonomy of other areas and departments and the technological independence of the organization.

Likewise, it will guarantee the proper administration of the organization's databases, ensuring their maintenance and evolution as well as the quality of the information. You will be directly in charge of the person responsible for the area, with similar knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical requirements:

  • Experience of at least three years in System Project management, in LINUX environments (Debian/Ubuntu).
  • Experience of at least three years in Database administration in Linux and Windows environments, more specifically MySQL/MariaDB and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Development and project management experience with the following languages: PHP, HTML, SQL, Javascript/JQuery.  
  • Experience in project management and documentation systems.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with ERPs and/or CRM systems.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in managing free software projects with Git or similar.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in CMS. Especially Drupal, WordPress and Typo3.

Essential requirements:

  • Ease of personal treatment and capacity for human relations.
  • Experience, ability and desire to work as a team.
  • Ability and experience in work for fulfillment of objectives.
  • Rigor, order and organization.
  • Adaptability to change, initiative and decisiveness. Knowledge management.  
  • Good command of spoken and written English. word processors, presentation module, email and web pages).

In addition, there must be a high level of motivation for human rights work and an identification with the principles and mission of Amnesty International, valuing a history of belonging to or collaboration with the organization.

IT WILL BE VALUED

  • Knowledge and/or experience in Business Intelligence projects, definition of KPIs, datawarehouse, datamarts. ETL processes. Especially with Pentaho BI.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with CiviCRM.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in PostgreSQL databases.  
  • Experience in data integrations in Web Servers, especially Apache.
  • API REST service integrations.  

LABOR CONDITIONS

An annual gross remuneration of 36.155,97€. 40-hour work week, distributed from Monday to Friday. The contract will be indefinite, with a trial period of two months. The workplace is located in Madrid.

The incorporation to the position will be immediate.
