ESI team manufactures protective masks against coronavirus with 3D printers

ESI team manufactures protective masks against coronavirus with 3D printers

ESI researchers and professors form a 3D printing team to create PPE

The Ciudad Real team coordinated by the Escuela Superior de Informática whose volunteers, teachers and students from the center have “drawn” several hundred protective masks, in most cases with non-industrial printers and each one from their home.

The output of the School of Computing has been allocated to the National Police, the local police of Ciudad Real, Miguelturra and Carrión, the ICU of the General University Hospital of Ciudad Real, the Andamarc and Gregorio Marañón nursing homes in Ciudad Real; and La Milagrosa and Los Jardines, from Manzanares; the Guadiana center, also in Ciudad Real, and the Manzanares Hospital.
