Course Purpose
This course aims to be a quick guide to essential tricks to take advantage of the document preparation system LaTeX and easily obtain professional results. In the following addresses you can check the flexibility and quality of the results you can achieve with LaTeX: 1, 2, 3.
One of the objectives of this course is to demystify the use of LaTeX which is a standard in academic settings for the preparation of final high-quality documents. At the end of the course, you will be able to prepare different types of academic documents such as: the memory of a Final Degree Project, Master's Thesis, Doctoral Thesis, and other types of reports.
In the course you will learn how to quickly install LaTeX and all the necessary auxiliary tools to turn your computer into a complete printing press.
With LaTeX you can:
- automatically create content indexes, figures, tables, terms, etc.;
- autonumber figures, tables, code snippets, equations, and other items;
- generate cross references, citations, bibliography;
- … and much more.
