Official delivery of the seal of international excellence for the degree taught at the ESI and at the ESII (UCLM)

The Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) has awarded the EURO-INF seal, a certificate granted by the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education, to the Degree in Computer Engineering of the Computer Engineering schools of Albacete and Ciudad Rea. (EQANIE) and that accredits the excellence of university degrees and master's degrees in the academic and professional field.

The EURO-INF seal recognizes and accredits the quality of teaching and research, internalization and adequate professional orientation for students taking the degree. The official delivery of the seal took place today at the Polytechnic University of Madrid at the end of a conference in which the current situation of Computer Engineering studies in Spain and the impact of the seal on the profession of computer engineer was addressed. It was attended by the UCLM Vice-Rector for Teaching, Mabel López; the secretary general of the institution, Crescencio Bravo; and Ismael García and Eduardo Fernández-Medina, directors of the centers where this degree is taught: the Higher School of Computer Engineering of Albacete and the Higher School of Computer Science of Ciudad Real.

The EURO-INF international seal, granted in Spain by the Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) with the authorization of EQANIE, certifies internationally that the UCLM Degree in Computer Engineering meets the standards of excellence defined in accordance with the principles of quality, relevance, transparency, recognition and mobility contemplated in the European Higher Education Area.

Throughout today's session, ANECA has awarded the EURO-INF international quality seal to twelve official degrees from nine Spanish universities, adding to the first certificates that were awarded to five degrees from two universities. With it, UCLM joins the select club of Spanish and European universities that have been recognized internationally with this accreditation that identifies high-quality Computer Science programs and places it at the best levels of teaching and research in its field.
