International Empirical Software Engineering Week

The ESI has hosted this prestigious meeting made up of several international events

The Higher School of Informatics (ESI) of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) in Ciudad Real became the world capital of Empirical Software Engineering during the week of September 5 to 9, hosting several international events around this IT field; the most important of which opened this morning: the 10th International Symposium on Empirical Software Engineering and Measurement (ESEM).

The event has had more than 160 experts from 25 countries. To highlight the participation of Claes Wohlin, who delivered the opening speech of the meeting, Is there a future for Empirical Software Engineering?. In addition to Wholin, other notable figures participate in the symposium, such as the professor at the European School of Technology and Management in Berlin, Joe Peppard.

Those responsible for the meeting were the ESI teacher, Marcela Genero; and his colleagues Andreas Jedlitschka and Magne Jørgensen, from Germany's Fraunhofer Institute for Empirical Software Engineering and Norway's Simula Research Laboratory, respectively.
