Thursday March 21 at 12:30

El Thursday March 21 at 12:30Javier Pages director of "Computer Forensics SL», will explain the origin, past, present and near future, as well as the main principles, rules and areas of action of the Computer forensics, one of the computer engineering specialties with the greatest projection within the area of logical security.

Computer forensics consists of the application of specialized scientific and analytical techniques to identify, preserve, analyze and present data that is valid within a legal process. This discipline uses, in addition to the latest technologies to maintain data integrity, advanced knowledge in various areas of computing to be able to detect the actions that have taken place. The knowledge of computer forensics covers many transversal areas in Computer Engineering studies, such as Hardware, Software, Networks, Security, Information Recovery, etc.

Thanks to computer forensics, clues about computer attacks, information theft, email tracking, etc. can be detected. The importance of these and the ability to maintain their integrity is based on the fact that digital or electronic evidence is extremely fragile.

Javier Pages has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Valladolid, an expert in Systems Development for Electronic Commerce, from the University of Salamanca (2010) and Chief Auditor ISO/IEC 27001:2005, from the British Standards Institution (2010). With more than 20 years of experience in the computer sector, he is a collaborator with the State Security Forces and Bodies in the fight against cybercrime and a member of the AENOR AEN / CTN197 Technical Normalizing Committee, on Expert Reports. As president of AI2, President-Founder, and current Treasurer, of ISSA-Spain and Member of CCII – General Council of Professional Colleges of Computer Engineering, he is a regular trainer and speaker at courses and seminars on Expertise, Computer Forensics and Security.
