Bio of Octavio Escobar:
Octavio Escobar is a professor of Economics. He joined the EM Normandie BS in 2020. He has a PhD in economics, obtained in 2009, and the habilitation for research direction (HDR) from the Université de Paris Dauphine-PSL, awarded in 2020, focusing on the role of geography and institutions on economic results. His research interests are international economics, regional development and dynamics, and the effects of adopting new technologies. Throughout his career he has carried out various consulting projects at the OECD. He is Academic Director of Track Strategy and Consulting.
