Mentor Program

Mentoring

The Mentor Program is characterized by the solidarity, altruism and competence of service to the community of all the students and teachers who participate in it.

What is the Mentor Program?

The Mentor program was created with the aim of guiding first-year students in topics related to administration, teaching, and university life.

At the beginning of the course, an activity is carried out so that the management team and the mentors welcome the mentees and introduce them to the rest of the participants in this initiative.

What is the purpose of the Mentor Program?

Assign new students (the mentees) to a veteran student (the mentors), to receive guidance from a person who has been in the same place not long ago.

Who are the mentees?

First-year students and Erasmus students who wish to be assigned a veteran student to advise them. This program is voluntary and in the first days of class you will find information on how to request a mentor.

Who are the mentors?

Preferably second-year students or other courses with a profile similar to that of the mentee (same city, from Bachelor/Module, bilingual). Any student who wants to help others can sign up at the beginning of the course to be a mentor. The mentor chooses how many students he wants to mentor and whether he wants them to be Erasmus or not.

What activities are carried out?

First, mentors are assigned to mentees. Afterwards, a first meeting is held so that we all get to know each other, creating a comfortable environment in which to interact with many students from the School. Finally, the mentors receive special training so that their service as mentors is of quality, obtaining in turn a degree in "Coaching and Mentoring".

This is what mentors and mentees say about the Program:

For me it has meant a lot, it helped me because I was completely lost, I had no idea about anything and as a guide it served me very well. It also helped me in all areas, academic and personal.

As a mentor, I have been able to meet new people whom I have managed to help, transmitting security to them in those first weeks in which it seems that everything could go wrong
