Tournament Rules

Players

  • Open tournament in which all players will compete in the same Tournament.
  • A maximum of 64 players will be admitted.

  • Higher School of Informatics (ESI). UCLM. Paseo de la Universidad 4, Ciudad Real.

  • 25th October 2022

game schedule

  • 16:00 p.m. Reception and confirmation of participants. Presentation of the Tournament.
  • Rounds 1 to 6: 16:30 p.m., 17:05 p.m., 17:40 p.m., 18:15 p.m., 18:50 p.m., 19:35 p.m. and 20:15 p.m.

Game system

  • Swiss. 10 minutes plus 3 seconds per move.

Players will always be entitled to the jackpot that corresponds to them according to the classification and in no case can they be accumulated. Former students of the School are included in the ESI category.

  • Computer system.
  • Elo FIDE. Elo FEDA. Alphabetical by surnames.

Registrations

rules and behavior

  • will be observed the FIDE Laws of Chess.
  • It is strictly forbidden to carry mobile phones or any other electronic means of communication, not allowed by the referee, within the game area. If a player's mobile rings during the games, he will lose his game (article 12.2).
  • The participants in the tournament authorize the publication of their personal data in the different means of communication that the organization considers appropriate for the necessary dissemination of the event (pairings, results, classifications, photographs, etc.).
  • At all times the players will not act in a way that dishonors the game of chess.
  • Participation in this tournament implies acceptance of these rules.

Jury

  • To comply with the rules, make decisions based on the course of events and dictate the winners, the jury will be made up of the Director of the School, the Referee of the tournament and a representative of the Delegation of Computer Science Students.

Prize giving

  • At the awards ceremony for the Santa Tecla 2022 Activities of the ESI.
