Un participatory budget It is an instrument that allows participatory democracy to be incorporated in the definition of certain expenditure items, so that the members of a community decide freely and directly the destination of a part of the budget.
To apply this practice to ESI budget for the year 2022, a procedure is established through which the university community of the ESI will first propose its project proposals to be financed, then these will be evaluated in order to detect those that could be redundant or not viable due to regulatory or technical issues and Finally, the accepted proposals will be voted on and chosen.
So the participation of the staff and students of the ESI can occur in two ways: presenting proposals and, later, voting on the set of proposals made.
The amount of the participatory budget for the year 2022 amounts to 3.000 €. With this initiative, we hope to generate positive learning that will allow us to extend the economic scope in the coming years and improve the management of these participatory budgets.

3 | Practical workshop on the operation of a PC | Lack of practice and application of learned knowledge | This idea consists of incorporating an activity or workshop in the School in which practical aspects related to computers are taught, as important as knowing how to assemble a computer, open the PC and know all its components, solve possible breakdowns, install an operating system, make a network cable, etc. Fundamental aspects for the day to day of a computer scientist, and that every professional dedicated to computer science should know, putting into practice part of the knowledge learned in the career. This activity could be carried out with the old equipment that the school has. In any case, the cost would come from the purchase of additional components that may be needed. 4 | Adaptation of physical space for audiovisual production and giant chrome | Apogee or reinforcement of the quality of the audiovisual content created from the ESI | In favor of audiovisual curiosity, or in general in favor of any utility for audiovisual purposes, the proposed idea consists of remodeling and adapting a physical space as an audiovisual space with a giant chroma key (green screen) or other audiovisual services, opening the possibility of being able to create spots, short videos, interviews or any other type of video with audiovisual effects, reinforcing the quality of the audiovisual content created from the ESI. At C:TED there is already a very professionalized room prepared for this, but by having this equipment at ESI, more freedom would be achieved.
