ESI UCLM
Driving simulator and students in a laboratory

Open voting on the 2023 participatory budget

Has arrived the time to vote. You can now express your opinion on the two proposals made by the community of the Higher School of Informatics:

The ESImulator project is a comprehensive driving simulator designed to serve as a multidisciplinary development and testing platform in the field of computing. This simulator, made up of a cockpit, rim, pedal boards, DDR base, monitor and computer, offers a unique framework for driving simulation in various scenarios and conditions. This allows the capture of telemetry, recording and reproduction of activities, generation of 3D scenarios, acting on simulated actuators and adaptation for people with physical limitations. In addition, the project fosters collaboration in areas such as artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, user-machine interaction, and software engineering and development.

Laboratory 8/5 is a project that seeks to provide access to a computer with the necessary hardware and software to face the laboratories of specific subjects in which students cannot use their personal computers. Subjects such as Design of Embedded Systems, Advanced Computers and Design of Microprocessor-Based Systems, among others, require specialized equipment. This project aims to solve accessibility problems to said equipment through a collaboration grant for a student to keep the corresponding laboratory open for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
