La Escuela Superior de Inform\u00e1tica (ESI) particip\u00f3 el viernes 26 de septiembre<\/strong> en La Noche Europea de los Investigadores e Investigadoras<\/em>, una gran feria al aire libre pensada para que familias con ni\u00f1os disfruten de la ciencia y la ingenier\u00eda en primera persona. La actividad se desarroll\u00f3 en los Jardines del Prado, en horario de 17:00 a 20:00, con una gran afluencia de p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La ESI estuvo representada, como miembros del proyecto Mujeres ingeniosas, por la profesora Carmen Lacave<\/strong>, y los profesores Jes\u00fas Salido<\/strong> y Julio Alberto L\u00f3pez<\/strong>. Un proyecto de divulgaci\u00f3n cuyo prop\u00f3sito principal es fomentar vocaciones cient\u00edfico\u2011tecnol\u00f3gicas entre ni\u00f1as y j\u00f3venes, visibilizar referentes femeninos en ingenier\u00eda y romper estereotipos de g\u00e9nero desde edades tempranas mediante talleres, demostraciones y experiencias pr\u00e1cticas. Como dato destacable y alineado con este objetivo, este curso se han matriculado 45 alumnas de nuevo ingreso en la ESI<\/strong>, lo que supone casi el 30%<\/strong> del total y duplica<\/strong> la cifra de a\u00f1os recientes (en torno al 15%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lo largo de la tarde, el equipo acerc\u00f3 la inform\u00e1tica a peque\u00f1os y mayores mediante talleres y juegos de corta duraci\u00f3n, favoreciendo que el p\u00fablico pudiera descubrir, de forma amena, el papel de la mujer en el desarrollo de tecnolog\u00edas clave y su impacto en la sociedad. La actividad se desarroll\u00f3 gracias a la colaboraci\u00f3n de la Fundaci\u00f3n para la Ciencia y la Tecnolog\u00eda (FECYT) del Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovaci\u00f3n y Universidades.
