Nos aproximamos al 11 de febrero, d\u00eda de la mujer y la ni\u00f1a en la ciencia, un d\u00eda especial para la ESI que impulsa y fomenta la formaci\u00f3n de mujeres en la Ingenier\u00eda Inform\u00e1tica para la creaci\u00f3n de un futuro m\u00e1s equitativo y diverso para todos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roya Mahboob<\/strong> es una empresaria y activista digital afgana que lucha por la igualdad de g\u00e9nero y la inclusi\u00f3n digital en su pa\u00eds. Nacida y criada en Herat, una ciudad en el oeste de Afganist\u00e1n, Mahboob creci\u00f3 en un entorno donde las mujeres eran consideradas inferiores y no ten\u00edan acceso a la educaci\u00f3n y las tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n. Pero eso no detuvo a Roya en su prop\u00f3sito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de graduarse en <strong>Ciencias de la Computaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, Mahboob fund\u00f3 una compa\u00f1\u00eda tecnol\u00f3gica llamada <em>Afghan Citadel<\/em>, que brinda capacitaci\u00f3n en tecnolog\u00eda y empleo a j\u00f3venes mujeres afganas. A trav\u00e9s de su trabajo, Mahboob ha ayudado a miles de mujeres a acceder a oportunidades de empleo y a mejorar sus habilidades en tecnolog\u00eda. Por su proyecto de alfabetizaci\u00f3n digital, Mahboob est\u00e1 amenazada de muerte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mahboob es una l\u00edder y una defensora apasionada de la igualdad de g\u00e9nero y la inclusi\u00f3n digital, y ha recibido reconocimientos a nivel internacional por su trabajo.
