El TFG titulado \u00ab<em>An Affective and Proactive Robot for assisted living of older adults at hom<\/em>e\u00bb desarrollado por Laura Villa y dirigido por el profesor Ram\u00f3n Herv\u00e1s, fue reconocido con dos de los premios: primer premio AULA SMACT-Avanttic, y primer premio AULA NTT Data, ambos dotados con 1.000 \u20ac. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Laura Villa: An Affective and Proactive Robot for assisted living of older adults at home\" width=\"1060\" height=\"596\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HmaCX4T-L90?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La asistencia y el apoyo emocional a las personas mayores es una necesidad en sociedad. Gran parte de ellos viven solos, lo cual da lugar a problemas relacionados con la depresi\u00f3n y la soledad. Sin embargo, es dif\u00edcil monnitorizar las emociones y el estado psicol\u00f3gico debido al tiempo y a los recursos humanos y econ\u00f3micos necesarios para ello. Adem\u00e1s, estos problemas se ven agravados por la brecha digital, la cual da lugar al aislamiento y a otras dificultades sociales en las personas mayores, reduciendo su independencia, autonom\u00eda y calidad de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Actualmente, los robots sociales y los asistentes dom\u00e9sticos son cada vez m\u00e1s populares. Estos robots asistivos proporcionan servicios que tratan de solventar este tipo de problemas con los que se encuentran las personas mayores. A pesar de ello, a menudo el comportamiento de estos asistentes no es \u00fatil m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de actuar como buscadores en Internet basados en la interacci\u00f3n por voz. Esto da lugar a que sean percibidos como pasivos, antinaturales, antisociales e \u201cinhumanos\u201d, ya que no son capaces de mantener conversaciones fluidas, comenzar interacciones, o mostrar cierto grado de empat\u00eda. En este contexto de ayuda y apoyo a la salud, es importante que los robots sociales incluyan aspectos afectivos y sociales que aseguren que estos sean aceptados y confiables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EVA es una plataforma rob\u00f3tica creada en el CICESE, con un enfoque de hardware abierto, en la que tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n contribuyendo otras instituciones acad\u00e9micas como la Univesidad de California y la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, a\u00f1adiendo nuevos servicios, interacciones y aplicaciones. Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado consiste en el desarrollo de un robot social alojado en la plataforma rob\u00f3tica EVA. El objetivo del robot desarrollado es mejorar la calidad de vida, autonom\u00eda e independencia de las personas mayores, y mitigar tambi\u00e9n la soledad y otros problemas emocionales que puedan surgir. Para obtener la aceptaci\u00f3n por parte del usuario y conseguir un comportamiento no pasivo, y m\u00e1s natural, social y afectivo, el robot integra proactividad, afectividad e interacciones naturales. Este comportamiento se ha conseguido principalmente mediante: a) EVA puede empezar conversaciones realizando intervenciones proactivas y preocup\u00e1ndose del usuario mediante la aparici\u00f3n de ciertos eventos; b) utilizando el nuevo m\u00e9todo de activaci\u00f3n, wakeface, en el que el robot se activa cuando se le mira, siendo una manera m\u00e1s \u201chumana\u201d y natural de empezar conversaciones; c) ofreciendo un comportamiento afectivo mediante el an\u00e1lisis de emociones y mostrando emociones a trav\u00e9s de expresiones con los ojos; d) reconocimiento facial del usuario y reconocimiento de emociones en texto\/peticiones, para proporcionar una comunicaci\u00f3n personalizada y afectiva, mostrando preocu- paci\u00f3n; y e) funcionalidades de manejo y control de Telegram, para reducir la brecha digital y ayudar a comunicarse con los familiares (como ejemplo de funcionalidad asistiva).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esto se ha logrado mediante el uso de t\u00e9cnicas computacionales para el procesamiento y la sincronizaci\u00f3n de los datos provenientes de los sensores del robot, en los que la eficiencia ha sido clave en la integraci\u00f3n y ejecuci\u00f3n concurrente de todos los servicios, debido a que se trata de un sistema de baja potencia computacional.
