UBOTICA successfully launches CogniSAT-6 mission on SpaceX Transporter-10. Nanosatellite is powered by artificial intelligence to provide unprecedented live Earth information

Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, United States – March 4, 2024

About us ubotica, based in Ciudad Real and pioneer in SPACE:AI technology of artificial intelligence for satellites, has successfully launched the CogniSAT-6 satellite on Space-X's Transporter-10. This mission represents a revolution in Earth observation, as it combines on-board artificial intelligence with live communication to transmit information in real time to users and interactively through a mobile application, allowing analysis and decision-making. decisions immediately.

The team of people who have participated in the mission at the Spanish headquarters, providing their experience in artificial intelligence, computer vision and embedded hardware systems, is made up entirely of graduates from the Higher School of Informatics of Ciudad Real, also including associate professors. who teach there.

The technology placed in orbit, combined with the information provided by a hyperspectral camera, provides the satellite with the ability to make autonomous decisions and act as it sees fit. For example, if a possible oil spill is detected, it can task other satellites with a deeper inspection or decide to send the warning to Earth.

The satellite, designed and built in collaboration with the Spanish company OpenCosmos, provides the potential to transform several sectors such as precision agriculture, marine monitoring, disaster response and energy infrastructure monitoring.
