Winners III Turing Machine Awards

Last November 9, during the graduation of the XII and XI graduate and master's degrees in Computer Engineering, the delivery of the III Turing Machine Awards to the best Final Projects (TFE), awarded by the different classrooms and companies that regularly collaborate with the Higher School of Informatics. In particular, the winners were the following:

The second prize AULA CGI-UCLM, worth €500, was presented by Mr. Antonio José Molina Moreno, vice president of the Oracle Center of Excellence in CGI and Mr. Macario Polo, Director of the CGI-UCLM classroom, and was awarded to Mr. Jorge Sánchez Ramos with his TFM titled “DGE-WEBCONFIGTOOL: Document Generation Engine Configuration Tool”. On the other hand, the first prize of €1.000 went to the student Mr. Sergio Garrido Merino with his TFM titled “Collaborative Mobile Application to Carry out Shared Excursions in Nature”. 

The AULA Ubética awards were presented by Mr. José Luis Espinosa Aranda, Chief Engineer of Ubótica and Mr. Juan Romero Cañas, Senior Engineer of Embedded Systems at Ubótica. The two prizes of €500 went to Mr. Juan Bautista Castaño García-Cervigón for his TFM entitled “Deployment of IoT Devices for the Monitoring of Energy Consumption in an Intelligent Building” and Mr. Daniel Espinar Jiménez for his TFG “Digital Twin for a Industrial Installation in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.”

The AULA NTT Data awards (two prizes worth €1.000) were presented by Mr. Óscar Ruiz Gonzalo: Manager responsible for Infrastructure and Cloud at NTT DATA Ciudad Real, Mr. Antonio Vera Serrano: Manager responsible for the Industry area at NTT DATA Ciudad Real, and the classroom director, Ms. Marcela Genero Bocco, were awarded to Mr. David Pinto Camacho with his TFM titled “Near Real Time Predictive Search Engine” and Mr. Alejandro Gálvez Ruiz for his TFG titled “Infrastructure as Code ( IaC) for a Cloud Microservices System”.

The prize awarded by the company Inetum (€1.000) was presented by Mr. Enrique Hidalgo Vera, Director of the CIS INETUM Center, Mrs. Petra Ramírez, People and Talent Inetum, Mr. Santiago Jiménez, Head of the Inetum Team, and Mr. Javier Albusac , deputy director of titles and promotion, and awarded to the student Mr. Alejandro Gálvez Ruiz for his TFG titled “Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for a Cloud Microservices System”.

The prize awarded by the Cojali company (€1.000) was presented by Mr. Francisco José Lucas-Torres Torrillas. Head of the Communications and Diagnostic Protocols Department, Mr. Jesús García García. Head of the Jaltest Comprehensive Management Department, and Mr. José Jesús Caro, provincial delegate of Education, Culture and Sports in Ciudad Real, and it was for the student D. Elena Toothless Fernández for her TFM titled “Analysing Energy Efficiency in Quantum and Classical Computing”.

The prize awarded by the AULA aTurnos-UCLM (€1.000) was presented by Mr. Pablo García Ansola, CEO of aTurnos and Professor at the UCLM, Mr. Alberto Garcia-Fogeda, CTO of aTurnos and Mr. Jesús Serrano, academic director of the Aula aTurnos, to student Mr. Raúl Barba Rojas for his TFG titled “Empirical Validation of a Set of Metrics for Assessing the Understandability of Quantum Circuits”. 

Finally, the awards from the Higher School of Informatics itself were presented by Ms. Soledad Escolar, as deputy director and president of the Jury of the Turing Machine Awards and the godfather of promotion Mr. Antonio Vallecillo, to the students Mr. Óscar Domínguez Ocaña for his TFE entitled “Virtual Reality for the Training of Traditional Handball Goalkeepers and Rehabilitation of Upper Limbs through Adapted Handball” and Mr. Daniel Espinar Jiménez for his TFE entitled “Digital Twin for an Industrial Installation in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality”
