The CHICO group receives €102.350 in funding for the APTEA project

El grupo BOY, from the Escuela Superior de Informática (ESI) has obtained funding for the project "APTEA: Development and evaluation of a software solution to support personal autonomy in daily tasks for high-functioning ASD people", in the 2021 call for projects aimed at to the Ecological Transition and the Digital Transition, of the State Plan for Scientific Research and Innovation 2021-2023, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Said project, subsidized with €102.350,00, is added to the total of aid received in this same call by various research groups of the ESI.

This project is led by professors Ana Isabel Molina and María del Carmen Lacave, and its objective is to produce, evaluate and transfer to society a technological solution that allows people with High Functioning Autism (HAF) and their families to gain autonomy in performing daily tasks. Users with AAF are not usually the target audience for this type of development, despite the fact that this group needs intervention and specific support in their day-to-day life, given their anticipation needs and socialization difficulties.

This research project is the continuation of the work carried out in recent years by the CHICO group, in collaboration with AUTRADE (Regional Association of Affected by Autism and Other Developmental Disorders), within the framework of the collaboration and knowledge transfer agreement between both entities.
