Computing: higher employment rate, stability and salary
The CYD Foundation, which analyzes and promotes the contribution of universities to the economic and social development of Spain, has recently published a report on the employability of young people in Spain where it reflects how the insertion of university graduates is. The report aims to analyze the employment situation according to the employment rate, unemployment rate, type of work day, professional situation, the occupation they perform, location, level of training, area of study and salary. net monthly received.
According to this report, the field of knowledge of Computer Science occupies the first place in the employment rate with 96,3%, with the Software Development and Applications and Engineering degree occupying the first place.

All this contributes to IT being the profession that occupies the last place in the ranking of professions in precarious situations, with 8.8%.

As final conclusions, from the CYD they highlight that graduates in the fields of computer science and engineering, industry and construction are the ones that show the best indicators of labor insertion, taking into account the 2019 employment rate of graduates in 2013-2014 and the Situation of those who work in 2019: more percentage with a stable professional situation, working full time, in highly qualified occupations, in a position that requires a university level of education, working "as they do" and receiving a salary equal to or greater than 1500 euros.
They end with the ranking of the 10 degrees with the highest quality in job placement for university graduates, in which Computer Engineering, Informatics and Software/Application Development and Multimedia Engineering occupy the first, fifth and sixth positions, respectively.
