Professor Coral Calero accésit of the iDanae national award

Prize for the candidacy of Loreto Ordóñez Solís

La iDanae Chair (intelligence, data, analysis and strategy) in Big Data and Analytics, created within the collaboration framework of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and Management Solutions, organized the iDanae Award for a woman with an excellent STEM professional career, con el objetivo de make visible academic and professional careers of women in the field of STEM and expand the talent base female in this area.

Once the nominations received had been evaluated and analyzed, the jury of experts made up of two academics from the Royal Academy of Sciences of Spain and two members of the iDanae Chair decided to award the Prize to the candidacy of Loreto Ordonez Solis, CEO of Engie Spain. The jury's decision sought to recognize in this way the successful and extensive professional career of Loreto, Mining Engineer from the University of Oviedo and the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), Master in Combustion and Energy from the University of Leeds (United Kingdom ) and MBA from IESE.

Given the high level of all the participants, the jury has also decided to publicly recognize, by awarding a second prize, the professional careers of Rachel Boat Brunette (Malaga University), Coral Calero Munoz (Castilla-La Mancha university), Eva Pagan Diaz (Spanish Electric Network) already Mary of the Mar Viana Rodriguez (Superior Council of Scientific Investigations).

During the annual act of presentation of works of the iDanae Chair at the Royal Academy of Sciences (date pending confirmation) both the Prize and the second prizes will be awarded.
