Juan Manuel Fernández Jiménez is a former student who studied at the Escuela Superior de Informática de Ciudad Real and graduated with a major in Information Technology. After winning an entrepreneurship contest he founded his own company.
Truck & Tender, the online job search platform specialized in the transport sector.
Juan Manuel Fernández Jiménez is a former student who studied at the Escuela Superior de Informática de Ciudad Real and graduated with a major in Information Technology.
Once he finished his studies at school, he began working for the Scania brand in an official dealership called R.Peinado SA located in Manzanares, Ciudad Real.
He has subsequently worked as a web developer for the Spanish Association of Scania Dealers.
Due to his concerns and his desire to undertake, he began his adventure with his partner Virginia (expert in human resources and also a former student of the Faculty of Labor Relations of Ciudad Real) to end up creating Truck & Tender.
Truck & Tender was born from the need for drivers in the transport sector and the opportunity to alleviate the problem of working conditions in this sector.
In 2018, they developed a prototype called OhMyDriver to enter the contest for young entrepreneurs held in Manzanares. They won the contest and with the prize they were able to put the elaborated prototype into practice, reborn as the “Truck & Tender” brand.
Due to the pandemic, they were able to accelerate the development of the application, finally launching it at the end of 2020. Every day they have a greater number of drivers and companies that decide to use their services.
Truck & Tender is a custom development developed by the Laravel framework. Among the many technologies it has, we can highlight a driver search algorithm based on the results of an intelligent system in order to ensure the best candidate for a driver job offer.
