The Eurocaja Rural Foundation has delivered the prizes for Final Degree Projects of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) in its fourth edition, within the actions promoted by the Chair of Innovation and Cooperative and Business Development "Eurocaja Rural Foundation-UCLM ”.

In Engineering and Architecture, Jose Angel Martin Baos, an ESI student, has won the first prize. Diego Molero Marin the second and Cristian Gomez Portes, one of the two extraordinary prizes, both also students of the ESI.

This call, endowed with 5.000 euros by the Eurocaja Rural Foundation, distinguishes students from the branches of knowledge of Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, Legal and Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities and Health Sciences, rewarding the talent and academic excellence of the projects presented. The evaluation committee has assessed the thematic suitability, academic quality, contributions to economic and social development and the innovative format of the award-winning works. The first prizes are endowed with 600 euros and the second with 400, the latter amount being the same as that of the three prizes awarded on an extraordinary basis

The awards ceremony took place at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of Toledo by the vice-rector for Internationalization and Lifelong Learning and director of the Chair, Fátima Guadamillas, the manager of the Eurocaja Rural Foundation, Vicente Muñoz, and the director of Institutional Relations of Eurocaja Rural, Miguel Ángel Escalante. The Vice Chancellor explained that these awards are a way to recognize and reward the talent and "great effort" of the students, who this year have submitted a total of 77 works to this call. According to Fátima Guadamillas, these are works "that contribute a lot to society" because they are related to topics of maximum interest such as research, industry, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and digitization.
